Caption: Camera Shows how Sardines get into the Can: Almost ready to be cooked. The sardines have passed the cutting table where they are cleaned. They are immersed in a very salty brine for from 30 minutes to an hour. This salting makes the flesh more firm and keeps them in good condition until they are cooked.
