Caption: Camera shows how sardines get into the canSoon they are cooking ? In California, sardines are usually fried in oil, but sometimes stem is used. In Maine, steam is most frequently used. A third method, little used, is cooking in brine. Over 2 million cases of sardines were canned in California alone in 1935.
