Caption: This special stationary antenna was installed with the aid of precise surveying equipment at the Minitrack Ground station of the U.S.Naval Laboratory at Blossom Pt., Md. where signals from the "Explorer", first U.S. man-made Moon are recorded. Victor Simas, scientist in charge of the tracking operation points to snow on the grid.
