Description
Caption: Artist's Conception of Satellite - This is an artist's conception, superimposed on an actual photo of the southwestern United States from 140 miles up, of what the 20-inch wide U.S. earth satellite would look like in light. The drawing was prepared at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, D.C. The Soviet Union announced today that they had launched a 23-inch wide, 185-pound satellite, which the say is now circling the earth every 95 minutes.
