Caption: (WX2-Oct.21)-THE ADMIRAL TAKES A RIDE- Vice Adm. C. Turner Joy, Commander U.N. Naval Forces, is hoisted aboard a helicopter at sea from the U.S. Navy destroyer collett and flown to Wonsan, Korea, where he caught a plane for his Tokyo headquarters. Adm. Joy flew to Korea Oct. 17 (Korean time) to observe at first hand the minesweeper operations on the east coast and to confer with high ranking navy and marine officers.
