Description
Caption: Dr.Eva Kahana, Sociologist at WSU's Institude of Gerontology.Researchers agree that short-term memory - such as what a person is planning to do the next day - declines when people reach their 80s, but long term memory - what happened 15 years ago- does not necessarily decline.Dr.Charles J. Parrish, director of the gerontology institute, said short-term memory lapse need not be debilitating."People can write themselves notes as reminders, that sort of thing," he said.
