Caption: Four Laps from Stardom - Parnelli Jones, who was within four laps of winning yesterday's 500-mile speedway race, uses his cloth face covering to wipe his head after climbing from his disabled racer. Jones, or Torrance, Calif., driving the controversial turbine car, set a terrific pace and led most of the way. He went out of the race with reported gear trouble. A.J. Poyt took over the lead and won.
