Caption: Mary Jane Gozda a volunteer from Mt Clemens and a member of Unity Church in Warren gives a Thankgiving hug and kiss to Joseph Spalding- 67 who was dineing alone at the Salvation Army. Harber Light on Park Street in downtown Detroit. Major John MacDonald, of the Salvation Army said they served 2500 thanksgiving dinners to the needy today. He also said they served everyone who came by and this was the biggest year for the dinners. 40 volunteers helped serve the dinners.
