Description
Caption: Donald and Mary Ludwig lived in the Poletown neighborhood in Detroit, Michigan when General Motors announced a new factory where their home was. Their 67 year old house on Kanter, which they'd lived in since 1952, was in the middle of the proposed plant site. The offer they recieved from GM, however, prompted the former Poletown Neighborhood Council activist to move to a Bungalow on Barlow in northwest Detroit.
