1981 Press Photo Immaculate Conception Destruction

Caption: Barbara Sokol, far left, and her sister Ann Dolence, far right, together had spent a lifetime in Immaculate Conception and its destruction took a piece of them, too. In a crowd of about 100, they took turns comforting one another as workmen began in the July dawn to disassemble the old church.
