Caption: Police Auction Going Once, Going TwiceA bevy of bicycles and other items recovered by police in the last year but unclaimed by their owners will go on sale at 9 a.m. Thursday in the Detroit police gymnasium on Clinton between Beaubien and St. Antoine. Other items to be auctioned off include radios, tape decks, camera equipment, gun cases and telescopic sights - but no guns. The sale nets the city treasury between $90,000 and $100,000 annually, a police spokesman said.
