Caption: ?What really impressed me was the way the people salvaging the wreckage would fight and scrap for the scrap. They would take away the more valuable metal, like copper wiring, first. They would take incredible chances to get to the top of a heap. They would actually jump on top of a truck as it unloaded its debris to secure a handhold, because the rules of the game were that the person who got his hand on an item first kept it.?.
