Caption: Robert MacNeil is host for the nine-hour PBS series, "The Story Of English." Filmed on location in 16 countries across five continents, the series explores the history and evolution of the most spoken language on earth. A co-production of MacNeil-Lehrer-Gannett Productions and the British Broadcasting Corporation, and with Principal underwriting from the General Foods Corporation, "The Story of English" will make its world premiere on American public television in September.
