Caption: SECRET BARED - John McPartland, est-selling author who died on Sunday, had two families, his wife, Ida McPartland, revealed today. At the time of his death, he was living with the unwed mother of his five children in Monterey, Calif. His wife of 15 years lived 125 miles away from his son, Donald, 10. Mrs. ida McPartland said she marries the author in Tyler, Tex., in 1943 and that she had known of his other family for years.
