Woman named Ida McPartland, of Mill Valley, CA with her son Donald, 10, said in fairness to her son she wanted it known that she, and not Eleanor, is the widow of the man who wrote ?No Down Payment.? Eleanor, Monetery?s ?Mother of the Year? in 1956, last night said she was unwed. ?I confirm Ida?s story,? she said, adding, ?other than that, I have no comment.?.
