Sharon accepted the $300 scholarship at a luncheon at the Allied Food club, at which 250 members of the Detroit Association of Grocery Manufacturers Representatives honored Wrigleys Supermarkets on is 20th anniversary. John Lurie, with his brother Nathan, now chairman of the board of ACF-Wrigley Stores, Inc., opened the first self-serve Wrigley market twenty years ago. The company operates 99 supermarkets in Michigan.
