Description
Caption: JOHN JOHNSON speaks with Billy Roberts, left and Rober Deane, both Renaissane High School students. Black and poor, John Johnson just knew success was on the other side of all these parriess before him. Johnson recalled starting his first magazine, Negro Digest, with $500 raised by selling his mother's furniture to come up with the money -- Johnson started climbing ladders.
