Caption: WASHINGTON: Sen. Jacob Javits, R-N.Y. (right), joins in the fun as a group of foreign embassy officials, sponsored by Intl. Students for the World Jazz Festival, put on a musical program in the Old Senate Office Building here 8/1. The purpose was to call attention to their "Pathway to Peace" program, which will get underway in the fall on campuses throughout the U.S. to promote better intercultural understanding among the world's students through music.
