Description
Caption: NATIONAL URBAN LEAGUE: WHAT DIRECTION? -- That question is answered on the next edition of TONY BROWN'S JOURNAL, the longest-running, Black-Affairs television series, by National Urban League President John Jacob. On the program, the civil rights leader outlines his organization's strategies in the area of employment, politics, urban development, crime and social programs. Jacob warns, "We cannot rely simply on politics and social welfare to deal with the problems of the poor and disadvantaged." The series has been funded by Pepsi-Cola Company for eight consecutive years and can be seen on public television (PBS). Check listings for time and date.
