Caption: Cup for 3,000th win 0 Hirsch Jacobs, veteran race horse trainer, holds silver ice bucket presented to him today after his 3,000th winner--Blue Waters--crossed the finish line at New York's Aqueduct track. Blue Waters, ridden by Willie Shoemaker, paid $4.50 in the second race. The 3-year-old filly is owned by Jacobs' wife Ethel. The trainer started his unprecedented string of victories in 1926.
