Description
Caption: On the campaign trail A travel-weary Jesse Jackson steps from a plane at Detroit's Metropolitan Airport Sunday in an advance of a rally for him in the University of Detroit's Calihan Hall. The Democratic presidential candidate, who traveled to the Middle East and negotiated the release of Navy Lt. Robert Goodman Jr. from Syrian captivity last week, cancelled an appearance at Little Rock Baptist Church in Detroit Sunday afternoon, reportedly because he was tired. Jackson's trip to Detroit followed rallies Saturday in Boston and New Hampshire, Goodman's home state and location of the nation's first state presidential primary, Feb. 28.
