Caption: Kenneth McCormick trial and imprisoned for a murder he did not commit. Shine recalled that after Mr. McCormick left his job at the Free Press, he returned to the newsroom only once. ?He was walking into the managing editor?s office when it happened? The people in the newsroom stood and began to clap. Soon the entire room was on its feet, applauding Ken McCormick.? Mr. McCormick is survived by his wife, Imogene; a son, Kenneth J.; two grandchildren; and one brother.
