Caption: Chairmen of Oakland University Mr. and Mrs. Robert D. Lund hosted a Meadow Brook Music Festival opening night dinner in Rochester. The gala celebration was in honor of the opening of 1973 outdoor music festival featuring Rachmaninoff, the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and pianist Van Cliburn. They stand here in front of a portrait of the late Matilda Dodge Wilson who donated the land for the festival site.
