Caption: Travels costs, contract uncertainty cited.DSO President Oleg Lobanov said the decision to cancel the tour is irrevocable.The Detroit Symphony canceled the orchestra's upcoming tour to New York and Washington as the work stoppage between musicians and management continued.The East Coast tour was to have included concerts at New York's Carnegie Hall on Oct 20 and at Washington's Kennedy Center on Oct 21. A third concert tentatively had been scheduled for Oct 18 at Long Island's C.W. Post College although no Contract had been signed.
