Delegates to the North Central Jurisdictional conference elected Dr. Loder on the second ballot, giving him 277 votes, 29 more than were needed. with Dr. Loder are Bishop Charles W. Brashares of Chicago (left) and Bishop Richard C. Raines of Indianapolis.
