Description
Caption: United Nations, N.Y. Oct. 11 ? Asks Russian Clarification ? With Russia?s Andrei Y. Vishinsky studying text, Britain?s Selwyn Lloyd speaks before the General Assembly?s 60-nation political committee during disarmament debate here today. Lloyd, first speaker in debate, called upon Russia for an early statement clarifying just how far Russia is prepared to go in meeting western conditions for arms reduction and atomic control. The British delegate pointed out Vishinsky had given some reason for hope in his proposals ten days ago, but had left many vital questions unanswered.
