Description
Caption: THE CATHEDRAL OF TOMORROW -- The magnificent, marble and glass cathedral is the world's largest inter-denominational Church - with a seating capacity of nearly 5000. It was founded on May 24, 1958 by the Rev. Rex Humbard as part of his personal crusade to bring religion and a spiritual awakening back to America and the world. The Cathedral was constructed with this mission in mind. The great dome, spanning the auditorium, represents the world and the 48 majestic pillars supporting the massive arch represent each of the then 48 states (there were only 48 states when the Cathedral was completed).
