Description
Caption: Internationally speaking, there's more to the 6,000 pounds of baby elephant in this air cargo than shows. Checking their arrival in New York are (left to right) James Washburne, a vice president of Detroit Bank & Trust; Rchard Naegeli, director of the Tampa (Fla.) zoo; and Brain Hunt, a representative of the animal-exchnage subsidiary of Bwana Don, Ferndale pet-shop operator. Bwana Don, to obtaion the elephants in Uganda, British East Africa, had to have the guaranteed full payment--a DB&T-backed letter of credit arranged with Grindley's Bank, Ltd., in Entebbe, Uganda.
