Description
Caption: POV From the "suitcase period," when her mother obsessively packed up everything in the apartment, to the "banana period," when she consumed banana after banana, Academy Award Nominee Deborah Hoffmann chronicles the stages of her mother's advancing Alzheimer's disease. In COMPLAINTS OF A DUTIFUL DAUGHTER, Hoffman stands next to her mother's suitcases (RIGHT) and visits with her mother, Doris (TOP) to create a moving story of the bond between mother and daughter, child and parent and tenacity of love. The film premieres nationally on P.O.V. Tuesday, June 6 at 10 p.m. ET on PBS (check local listings).
