Caption: He was educated in St. Francis Separate School and the collegiate here and was later with the Liquor Control Board and was a yardman with the Canadian Pacific Railway. He moved to Montreal four years ago. A veteran of World War II, he was a member of the Canadian Legion, and during his residence here was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Church . He was active in softball circles here. He was married to the former Grace McLean, who survives him. He also leaves to mourn his loss, four sons, Philip, Arthur, Nicholas and Paul, all at home; three daughters, Mrs. Marie Collard, of Brooklyn, NY, and Carol and Sandra, both at home; a brother Frank Hogan, of Smiths Falls, and three sisters, Mrs. J. H. Morris, of Toronto; Mrs. C. Logan, of Sudbury, and Miss Gertrude Hogan, of Ottawa. Another brother, Ernest Hogan, predeceased him three months ago. The funeral service was held Wednesday morning at St. Francis de Sales Church , Rev. Francis O'Neill officiating. Interment was in the parish cemetery. The pall-bearers were Pete O'Brien, Fred Pruner, Carl Buchanan, Clare McKay, Edmund Kelly and Leo Hogan. ( 30 Aug 1951 ) (The date of birth is incorrect in the obituary.
