Every photo in our collection is an original vintage print from a newspaper or news service archive, not a digital image. Please see our FAQ for more information.

Description
Caption: Eastman Kodak received its first Emmy in recognition of the company's development of a fast, practical color film processing system for television. Making the presentation to Dr. Norwood L. Simmons (right), assistant vice president and general manager of Kodak's Motion Picture and Education Markets Division, are TV personalities Werner Klemperer and Celeste Holm. The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences' citation read: "To Eastman Kodak Company for the ME-4 process, making it possible to develop color film with greater speed and sharper images than ever before, materially facilitating the presentation of news and other programs.".
