Caption: Gets New Contract -- Mike (Pinky) Higgins, manager of the Boston Red Sox of the American Baseball League, relaxes at his home here today by answering correspondence after word was received from Boston he had new three-year contract with the club. Higgins won 1955 "Manager of the Year" honors in his freshman season as a major league pilot. Terms of the contract, to run through 1958, were not announced. Higgins predicts the team, in fourth place last year, "will do better than we did last year.".
