CAPTION: METROPOLITAN OPERA HOUSE -- MET'S TICKET TAKER GOES HIGH HAT -- In keeping with the gilt austerity of the tar dition-bound Metropolitan Opera House in New York, chief ticket taker Huge Brown wears his high silk topper. Brown's also building superintendent. For 37 years he has donned his top hat and tailcoat on opera's opening night and a tux the rest of the time receives the subscribers' nods of recognition as they enter by the center door..
