CAPTION: ENEMIES ONCE, BUDDIES NOW. It was 15 years ago that Sergt. Charles Hall of the Canadian Engineers, in a sally in the CHampagne sector of France took Joe Orning, a German engineer, prisoner. The years passed, and stranded, Hall (left) got a job in Chicago under the CWA. He was startled to find his co-worker was none other than Orning..
