CAPTION: 11/9/60-LOS ANGELES: Vice-President Richard Nixon and his wife, Pat, are shown as Nixon conditionally conceded defeat in the presidential election to Sen. John F. Kennedy early 11/9. Nixon told a large group of still-hopeful supporters "If the present trend continues, Sen. Kennedy will be the next president of the United States." Nixon, however, would not concede total defeat at that time..
