Caption: Detroit Gets a New Look in HousingDetroit is getting a new look in housing. Fourteen-story apartment building- 13 of them are rising on the Edward J. Jeffries Housing Project, on the west side of the Lodge Expressway just north of Grand River. These 13, plus six more on the East Side Douglass Project, are the first of their type to be erected for low-rent housing in Detroit.
