Caption: SENATOR SEEKS GOVERNORSHIPUnited States Senator Clyde M. Reed, first term Republican, has entered the race for the governorship nomination in Kansas although his Senate term has two more years to run. The job he seeks is not new to him. He was Governor of Kansas from 1928 to 1930, and during his term he kept things stirred up. This time he is campaigning on the issue of revising labor policies to do away with the closed shop on government projects. If he is nominated and elected, he says he plays to resign and appoint his own successor in the Senate. Here is the latest photo of Senator Reed at his desk in the Senate Office Building in Washington.
