Odom took off from Yokota airfield near field Tokyo today for Anchorage, Alaska, on the next to last leg of his round-the-world flight after completing more than 13,000 miles (broken line) of the trip. The big blond airman plans to stop for fuel at Anchorage and then continue to Chicago, the starting point of his effort to cut in half the 1933 solo world record of the late Wiley Post.
