Caption: Lansing, Oct. 8--Calls Convention to Order--Steven S. Nisbet of Fremont, newly installed president of the State Constitutional Convention calls the convention to order in Lansing. One of Nisbet's first official acts was to appoint a committee on rules and organization, headed by Glenn S. Allen Jr., of Kalamazoo. Committee membership includes 10 republicans and five democrats. Nisbet, former chairman of the state Board of Education and a retired vice president of the Gerber Products Co., was elected unanimously today after being nominated by the republican caucus.
