1962 Press Photo Bobby Bell

Every photo in our collection is an original vintage print from a newspaper or news service archive, not a digital image. Please see our FAQ for more information.

Description
Caption: Minnesota tackle Bobby Bell most noted for his football prowess as a Gopher All-American candidate bands out a tune on a piano for watching students on campus. Bell, 6'4", and 215-pound senior from Shelby, N.C., plays for Jeff Lane and Sylvia Parson. Bell and Carl Eller have been described by many Big 10 coaches as the finest tackle tandem in the nation. They anchor a line which has limited seven foes to just under 40 yards a game rushing, best in the nation.
