Description
Caption: FERNDALE, Mich., Dec 29--WRONG KIND OF DEBUT--The Chrysler Corp., is spending millions of dollars to promote its Plymouth Horizon and sister vehicle, the Dodge Omni, both of which will be introduced to the pubic in about two weeks. The Horizon shown above was in the South-west, being used by an advertising agency to film commercials, when it suffered a burned-out clutch and flywheel. The agency trucked it back to Detroit, but Chrysler is closed for the holidays. Because the car has a Volkswagen engine and many parts, someone decided to take it to a VW dealer. That's when the embarrassing leak to the press happened. The car was fixed.
