1955 Press Photo Ford Motor Company Detroit plant

Caption: Sterling Township Machining Plant.Ford Motor Company's chassis parts plant now being built in Sterling Township, north of Detroit, is shown in the drawing above, the site is located at Mound and Seventeen Mile Roads. the plant will contain 1,750,00 square feet of floor space and will employ more than 7,000 persons when completed in mid-1956. It will produce automobile differential and axle assemblies, ball joint suspension assemblies, drive shafts and related parts.
