Caption: AFRO-AMERICAN STUDIO THEATRE Artistic Director James Reed Faulkner co-founded the Detroit-based company with Von H. Washington in 1982. Faulkner attended Michigan State University and Lansing Community College where he produced, directed, wrote, and performed in his own TV programs, including a locally produced soap opera. Though still interested in TV/Film work, Faulkner has moved his company to included extensive youth programming.
