Button, a journalism teacher at Grosse Pointe South High and adviser to the school's award-winning student newspaper, gets a congratulatory cake from his students after he was named one of four 1981 Distinguished Advisers by the Newspaper Fund. The non-profit foundation encourages careers in journalism. One of Button's students will get a $500 college journalism scholoarship.
