Caption: This painting, "Young Woman in a Red Jacket Holding a Mandolin" by Jean Baptiste Camille Corot, was sold to the Norton Simon Foundation of Los Angeles for $310,000 in bidding at New York's Parks-Bernet Gallieries last night. The previous auction record for a Corot was approximately $80,000.
