Description
Caption: DRESSED TO THE QUEEN'S TASTE—Queen Elizabeth displays the state robes which she wore at Parliament opening ceremony in London today as she stands with her husband, the Duke of Edinburgh, in Bucking-ham Palace. The Duke wears full naval uniform for the formal portrait, the first posed picture of the queen in state robes since she assumed the throne. The youthful monarch wears a full-length gold brocade evening dress, a twelve-foot off-the shoulder scarlet train, and Queen Victoria's distinctive diamond tiara.

The front and back of this photograph are pictured below.
