1973 Press Photo Princess Anne equestrian competition

Caption: Princess Anne Takes a Tumble in Russia: Princess Anne of England falls with her horse, Goodwill, Saturday while defending her title in the European equestrian championships in Kiev, USSR. The princess, 23, came up shaking and limping, but told newsmen: "I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I'm not very badly hurt." It was reported later that she suffered a bruised left leg and a chipped collarbone. The falll eliminated Anne from the cross-country event.
