Caption: A pre-dawn fire Wednesday destroyed an eight-unit building of the Botsford Apartments, behind the Botsford Inn Restaurant at Grand River and Eight Mile Road in Farmington Hills. One resident was injured in a fall while escaping from the building and a firefighter was treated for smoke inhalation, officials said. An unnamed passerby was credited with awaking sleeping residents and alerting police about 6:35 a.m. Investigators have not determined the cause of the blaze.
