Description
Caption: From left, Percy Fleming, Walter Saxton and Joe Woods, all of Detroit, stand in front of a gutted home where they saved a 10-year-old boy trapped in a fire Thursday. Detroit Fire Department officials said the house at 6469 Iroquois caught fire when the boy was playing with matches in his bedroom. The men had to pry open iron bars on the house to pull free Clyde Lindrod Jr., who was not injured. The boy's parents were across the street at the time of the fire, officials said. Senior Fire Chief Vern Loepp said the Fire Department will cite the three for bravery.
