Caption: It's illegal to park an automobile in front of a fire plug. This picture shows what can happen to your car if you do. Firemen answering a two-alarm house fire smashed the windows of this car in an attempt to move it so they could connect the pumper to the hydrant. When they were unable to move the car, they were forced to use another hydrant 500 feet farther down the street, wasting valuable time. While firemen fought the glaze, police towed the car away. Three firemen were injured fighting the fire.
